Log Cabin Day

Visit our 1830’s log cabin for fun activities and historical interest. Our log cabin was originally from the Horton area before being transported to the Jackson County Fairgrounds for 50 years. Finally, it has returned home to the Hanover Heritage Park thanks to volunteers from the Hanover-Horton Area Historical Society.

The log cabin will be open for tours with historical arts demonstrations and hands-on activities for both children and adults. Try your hand at weaving, embroidery, quilting, cabin chinking, milking and laundry. Purchase popcorn, drinks, and ice cream at the Popcorn Truck (an antique car transformed). Enjoy the day
